Samsung to come with different CPU for USA and Europe
It is two more weeks to March 14, when Samsung will hold a special press event for the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S4. The company made sure that everyone will pay some attention to it by constant teasing since the first day of the Mobile World Congress. Now we have a new rumour for the future flagship device of the company – that it will employ different processor according to the area where it will be used – Snapdragon 600 by Qualcomm for the USA and Exynos 5 Octa in Europe and other parts of the world.
The idea is that Snapdragon 600 is not that necessary in countries where LTE is not widespread. So, the earlier arguments whether Galaxy S4 will use Snapdragon 600 or Exynos 5 Octa have been needless – the device will just use both of them.
The Korean giant is expected to turn to TSMC for the Qualcomm processors. This will be beneficial for the Taiwanese manufacturer, which has already hinted the possibility in its predicted revenue for Q1 – it changed it to a larger sum, though still not quite large.
Guess we will have to wait some more time to get all the details officially. Don’t forget, that if you can’t make it to the press event in New York on March 14, the conference will be broadcasted live in the company’s YouTube channel. See the company’s teasers below.
