Can the war between Apple and evasion be more severe?
Will it ever be this way for the owners of Apple products? First they get a device and know perfectly well the restrictions it comes with, then a jailbreak comes out and they get the restrictions away. But wait – that is not everything – Apple responds to this with an update of the OS and this either puts the restrictions back or stops the device from functioning. And then the developers of the jailbreak start working again…. Sounds familiar, right? Because that is the scenario since iOS 6 came out.
Only a week after Apple released their newest mobile system, the members of the jailbreak team evasi0n came out with a solution to the restrictions. The next two days were tense – more than 7 million owners of iPhones, iPads and iPods got the jailbreak for their devices, knowing the risks. And, of course, today Apple responded with iOS 6.1.2 – an update that fixes some bugs in the system. What are the consequences for the owners of devices with a jailbreak we still do not know. What we know, however, is that one of the members of evasi0n team promised in his Twitter account that a new version of the jailbreak, designed to cope with the update, will be released later today. Yes, the same day the update is coming out.
Are you a victim of the war between Apple and evasi0n? What do you think of the restrictions, the jailbreaks and everything? Don’t hesitate to share your opinion with us!
