No more BlackBerry for Japan
It’s not easy for the smartphone producing companies to gain market positions, especially in such ‘exotic’ countries as Japan. It’s even harder for smartphones with their own operation system to establish a long-lasting relationship on the market, since one of the best systems – Android – is absolutely free, provides thousands of possibility and is perfectly maintained. So, for a pity, some countries with special needs never get the opportunity to own a particular mobile device (especially one with translated system to match their language preferences), or are excluded from the further plans of the companies.
That’s exactly the case with BlackBerry and Japan. The citizens of this country will no longer have the opportunity to buy the company’s smartphones, as BlackBerry is omitting them from their next projects. So, if there were Japanese really eagerly waiting to get the new BB1o, we will have to disappoint them.
One of the main reasons for this decision of Blackberry appears to be the expenses for the translating and adapting their OS for Japanese use. Moreover, the company records decrease in sales with 0,3 % share on the Japanese market.
The news was fiercely unravelled on the Internet where worried fans of the company asked whether this is going to happen in different countries, too. The company has not released an official statement yet, but the USA network users reassured each other that they will get BB10 in a month or so from now. Hope that really comes true!
