Facebook Messenger app update; supports voice messages
This Thursday Facebook released an update to its Messenger application for Android and iOS, competing with services like Google Voice and Skype. The update allows users to send short voice messages, up to a minute, similar to the popular apps Voxer and HeyTell.
Additionally, Facebook allows Canadian iOS users to make free calls using the application with a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection.
If testing of the app goes well, the company may extend it to Europe and the United States as well.
