LG claims Samsung breaches patents with Galaxy Note 10.1
LG and Samsung have had their “battles” over patents. First, Samsung brought forward allegations on OLED patent infringements and corporate theft, and of course, LG returned the “favor” by a counter lawsuit. Then Samsung broadened the list of patent complaints, and forced LG to use the skills of their layers again who filed an injunction against the “sale, manufacture and importation” of one of Samsung’s products.
These patent battles seem to continue, LG “firing” now at yet another of Samsung’s products – the Galaxy Note 10.1. This particular device does not seem to have an actual rival among LG’s products, still LG claims display patents have been breached, concerning the improvement of viewing angles. So, they demanded a stop for the Galaxy Note 10.1, plus a penalty of a billion dollars for each day the Note 10.1 continues to be made and sold.
Samsung does not seem much concerned with all that, though, and the Galaxy Note 10.1 is still freely offered on the markets.
