Verizon announces Ice Cream Sandwich for Motorola Droid Bionic

As we’ve learned, the Droid Bionic will be finally getting the Android 4.0.4 ICS update. The process will be organized in phases, and customers should have started getting notifications as of today, October 19th.

The update to the Bionic includes all the goodness that ICS has offered to other devices earlier this year. Also included in the update are SMARTACTIONS, Amazon Kindle, GoTo Meeting and others. The Verizon support page also cites improved performance with AOL email, SMS and Visual Voicemail.

Synchronization with Google Calendar is also improved, and users of Mobile Hotspot should expect better data connectivity.
