Asus Padfone 2 gets “thumbs up” from the Global Certification Forum
Asus Padfone 2 launch is scheduled for October 16th and naturally the interest to it is high. Preliminary info has shown that this should be an impressively powerful device! The positive feedback scored impressive 13,950 points on the AnTuTu benchmark site, surpassing the Samsung GALAXY Note II by 450 points.
So far the word has it that that the phone will feature the quad-core Qualcomm S4 quad-core APQ8064 under the hood with an Adreno 320 GPU crunching the graphics and Android 4.1 installed. What more it has to offer we’ll know in just a few days.
We are however certainly well acquainted with the concept of the Asus Padfone. The device can be used on its own, or plugged into a dock which turns it into a tablet. The tablet can then be plugged into a QWERTY keyboard dock to turn it into a laptop computer. Great, ain’t it!
Moreover, thanks to the approval from the Global Certification Forum, the Asus Padfone 2 has European, Asian and Latin American LTE connectivity on bands 3, 7 and 20, and we expect to see GCF approval for U.S. LTE bands shortly.
