AT&T iPhone unlock requirements
Many smartphones users would prefer to own a device that isn’t locked to an individual carrier, which unfortunately can often be only available at a premium price. This shall certainly be the faith of the owners of the newest Apple’s iPhone5-s, too.
However, US AT&T carrier has now made the ‘unlock’ option easier – owners of a ‘locked’ iPhone can simply use an online tool to put in their unlock request. Of course, you shall still need to meet the requirements of the carrier to qualify for an unlocking your device, and that certainly shall include you having paid your bill, reached the end of your contract, or not trying to unlock someone else’s iPhone. If everything is found OK, your device will become unlocked in five to seven days.
The online tool is available to current as well as previous and future subscribers.
