Next week, Apple is reportedly planning a product briefing in anticipation of the rumored launch of the iPhone 14 in yellow
According to a post on Weibo shared by Mac Otakara, a Japanese blog, Apple is planning to release the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Yellow this spring. Though, it is uncertain if the Weibo account from which the post was shared has a reliable history.
MacRumors was informed by numerous sources that Apple’s PR team is preparing to conduct a product briefing in the coming week. On Tuesday, March 8 of last year, Apple revealed new Green hues for the iPhone 13 series, so it is possible the briefing pertains to the announcement of another iPhone color, though the exact topic of the briefing remains to be determined.
Apple released new colors for their iPhone 13, 13 mini, and 13 Pro models. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini were released in Green, while the 13 Pro models featured an Alpine Green color. Shortly afterwards, Apple made the iPhone 12 and 12 mini available in Purple. The addition of new colors is a common strategy of Apple’s to increase sales midway through the product cycle.
In 2019, Apple last offered a Yellow color option for the iPhone 11 and in 2018, it was available for the iPhone XR. It is unknown whether Apple is planning a new color for the iPhone 14 Pro models, but Yellow may be too close in hue to the current Gold option that is available on those devices.
