HTC One (M8) for Windows is officially introduced in New York City
Back in spring HTC announced the new flagship HTC One (M8) provided with high-end specs, unique features and the appeal of its predecessor – the beloved by users HTC One. Less than 5 months later the Taiwanese company unveiled the extraordinary twin device of its flagship the HTC One (M8) for Windows. If we have to use only a few words to describe the new model – it is the One (M8) however running on Windows Phone 8.1 instead of Android 4.4 KitKat.
The high-end smartphone is outfitted with a LCD screen with 5-inch diagonal and a resolution of 1080p. It arrives with 2GB RAM working with quad-core silicon with 2.3GHz power and a chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 801. The handset boasts a microSD slot that makes it easy to add storage to the 32GB provided in the device. The platform that powers the One (M8) for Windows is Windows Phone 8.1 GDR1. It brings the well known BlinkFeed feature amongst other possibilities of the live tiles OS. On the back of the new flagship is equipped UltraPixel Duo Camera. The camera is amongst the special features of HTC One (M8). Therefore it is really good news that the manufacturer has decided to keep it in the new phone. On the side with the display stands the 5MP camera perfect for video calls.
The battery of the Windows Phone 8.1-powered smartphone is a 2600mAh cell. It supports a wide range of connectivity possibilities, including LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. The HTC One (M8) for Windows is officially released by Verizon Wireless in the States. The carrier offers the smartphone for $99 subsidized prices with two-year commitment. Although the first rumors suggested that Verizon will sell the new flagship exclusively for the US, another mobile operator AT&T shared that it will also offer the smartphone for sells “at a later date.” The One (M8) for Windows comes in gunmetal gray color option.
