Dual SIM Support to Come to Windows Phone, Nokia Lumia 635 Expected to Get It
Dual SIM Support Announced to Come to Windows Phone, with the Nokia Lumia 635 as the First Device to Have It
Dual SIM support has been announced for Windows Phone. The news was announced by Microsoft at MWC 2014. That is one of the features which come out to make users experience more rewarding. We already dwelt on Update 3 for the OS in December. It is the final update to the Windows Phone 8. It brought more bug fixes and better performance. After that, very soon, users will have the new 8.1 version. It has already raised plenty of expectations. It is coming with a comprehensive bundle of changes. Users are prepared to meet the new version with a new design of the Action Center, media files downloading conveniences, Battery Power Sense, and more novelties.
Now dual SIM support comes as another convenience for Windows Phone users. As Microsoft described it at the event, that is a “total control dual SIM experience”. Users can expect dual SIM convenience with dual phone live tiles and dual messaging live tiles. Users will also be able to link messaging tiles.
Microsoft did not inform users about the first device to come with dual SIM support. But it is expected to see the Nokia Lumia 635 as the first device with the feature. Nokia Lumia 635 is one of the devices which we were informed to expect as newly unveiled ones at MWC 2014. Images of the Lumia 635 leaked in the end of last year. It is expected as a mid range handset, with a 4.3 inch WVGA display and 8 GB internal storage. The Lumia 635 is to come with 1 GB RAM, 8 MP camera, a microSD slot, and a battery which offers 2000 mAh.
Dual SIM support is certainly expected by users who appreciate the convenience. Having two phones in one thanks to that feature is handy for Windows Phone device fans who have two accounts with different carriers.
