Micromax Canvas Power A96 debuts on the mobile arena in India
The India-based manufacturer Micromax has just presented and released a new entry-level smartphone Micromax Canvas Power A96. The model is launched in India. The Canvas Power A96 is an Android-running device packed with low-end specs and offered at relatively affordable price. The phone boasts a 5-inch TFT FWVGA screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
The processor that powers the model is a quad-core 1.3GHz with 512MB RAM. The chipset of Canvas Power A96 is MediaTek 6582M. It arrives with 4GB storage, but only 1.14GB at user’s disposal. Don’t worry, in case you need more, you can use the opportunity to expand it to up to 32GB with microSD cards. The camera on the back of the phone is 5MP. It has LED flash and the ability to capture 720p video. There is a 0.3MP front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity the Canvas Power A96 supports GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It can work with dual-SIM. The new handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with the UI of Micromax on top of it.
The most fascinating advantage of the Micromax Canvas Power A96 is its large battery. The smartphone works with a battery with a capacity of 4000mAh. According to the official data it can keep the handset running and fully functional for up to 450 hours in standby mode and 13.5 hours in Talk time.
