Hitman GO by Square Enix game preview for mobile devices
According to the official statement the developer company released about the game, Hitman GO is a turn-based strategy game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces
Square Enix Montreal came up with a whole new game idea, something to separate the AAA fame that is being developed at IOI, but also something which will still maintain the essence of what a Hitman game is about.
Hitman is a stealth video game series developed by the Danish company IO Interactive. The series is available on Microsoft Windows as well as several video game consoles, including the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game series has since expanded into a series of novels and even theatrical movie, which became a financial success.
In the game for your mobile device, you will strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies and take out your target or infiltrate well-guarded locations. You really have to think about each move and all the Hitman tools of the trade you would expect are included; disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even 47’s iconic Silverballers.
They have developed the game with a small core team, which allowed them to iterate fast, come up with solutions more easily and embrace a development style that felt very fresh for them.
Sources indicate that Hitman Go will be released soon. Square Enix Montreal suggests that it is almost ready for leach and that you might even read about it online in the coming weeks as they continue their testing process.
They have released a special preview photo, which might remind people of The Sims, but the developers assure that it will keep true to the spirit of the original console game.
Hitman GO will most likely hit both the iOS and Android platforms, but nothing is confirmed so far.
