HTC Desire 8 with 5.5-inch display to be announced soon, rumors say
HTC Desire 8 might be the next phablet in the HTC’s family
The HTC Desire line will be enriched with a variety of new devices with different specs, capabilities, screen sizes and prices. The Chinese website MyDrivers recently shared the news that a large-sized model will join the HTC Desire family soon. It is named HTC Desire 8 for now, which will probably change to HTC Desire 800.
The new phablet boasts a 5.5-inch screen. The report does not reveal the resolution of the device. In terms of specs it is expected to provide similar (or more advanced capabilities) to the HTC Desire 700. The size of the HTC Desire 8 puts it between the upcoming successor of HTC One, the HTC M8 with 5-inch display and the HTC One Max with 6-inch screen. The rest of the specs revealed about the new device include a 13MP primary camera, set on the back. There is no confirmation whether the camera will be with UltraPixel technology. The front-facing camera is with the impressive 5MP.
HTC Desire 8 or 800 will be equipped with dual stereo speakers, located on the front panel. The depicted phablet is posing for the camera in white shell. The other color options for the model will be orange, cyan, yellow and red. For now this is all the shared information about the upcoming device. We are yet to find out some important specs, like the processor that will power the HTC 8 (800), the battery, whether it will feature or not fingerprint scanner.
We are curious to find out when the phablet will be officially announced and which markets will get the device. The price still remains a mystery. Hopefully more leaks and rumors will surface on the web about HTC 8 (800) with details of the features and the specs. The design of the depicted device is in tune with the appearance of the other models of the Desire line. The date set on the screenshot is 18th of March and Beijing is included. This might be the clue we need for the announcement of the phone, don’t you think?
