Samsung Galaxy Star Trios with triple-SIM goes official in Brazil
Samsung Galaxy Star Trios is the new smartphone that supports triple-SIM
The dual-SIM smartphones are quite popular across the world. A new trend seems to be rising in South America for releasing of triple-SIM handsets. Not long ago we shared the news that LG is launching the triple-SIM smartphone LG Optimus II Tri. It is arriving in Brazil at the price of $127. Now another manufacturer is preparing a triple-SIM model to be launched in the country as well – the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios. In terms of specs both devices are entry-level smartphones with similar capabilities.
The Galaxy Star Trios features a 3.1-inch QVGA screen with a resolution of 320 x 240p. Under the hood of the pocket-sized phone is ticking a single-core 1GHz CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chip and 512MB RAM. It works with Adreno 200 GPU. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The Galaxy Star Trios arrives with 4GB built-in memory with a microSD slot on board. In terms of connectivity the modest model supports Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and HSPA. The battery of Galaxy Star Trios is with a capacity of 1300mAh. It is armored with a 2MP camera on the back.
Samsung launched the extraordinary model in two colors – black and white. The handset is officially released in Brazil and can be purchased from different retailers and carriers. The company has not revealed whether it will be introduced to other markets as well. Its unique capabilities and pocket-size makes it a convenient device for the basic mobile functions on the go. For now it seems that customers in Brazil are interested in buying triple-SIM devices. This means that we can expect more models with support for three SIM cards to be announced soon. The price of Galaxy Star Trios is $165 which is slightly higher than the costs for LG Optimus L1 II Tri. Would you buy a triple-SIM smartphone?
