Samsung Life Times app leaks in screenshots
The screenshots have been taken from a SM-G900H unit that is most likely to be Galaxy S5
As Samsung has promised in the beginning of 2014, there’ll be more focus on the branded software. It’s been a tradition so far for the Korean company to launch a flagship device along with new features and apps on board; but this time Samsung has got something even better. Today the folks from Sam Mobile gave us the first glimpse at a new application by the manufacturer that will debut in its future handsets, most likely in the Samsung Galaxy S5. There’s already been a speculation going around that the screenshots of the new app have been taken from the next generation Galaxy S anyway. The so called Samsung Life Times surfaced online with few screenshots that unveil the interface, as well as some cool features.
At first sight, the Life Times app looks like some kind of a diary that collects data from various other apps in order to create a log of recent activities by the users. The app collects all the pieces of this information from apps, events, posts from the social network sites, Facebook, Google+, Foursquare, Instagram, LinkedIn, messages, photos, location and everything else that the users do with their smartphones. Of course, as the sources are configurable, users can filter out what they prefer to keep private, so they’re not obligated to post the log online. In all, the Life Times app looks similar to Samsung Story Album, however with more features on board. Whether it will replace the Story Album or arrive as a separate application, it’s yet to be seen. Nevertheless, the whole interface seems great and it fits the design set of Android 4.4 KitKat perfectly. As we mentioned earlier, the screenshots have been taken from a SM-G900H unit that is most likely to be Galaxy S5. Unfortunately, this also hasn’t been confirmed yet. So stay tuned.
