New update for Poweramp including KitKat feature
The update includes a bunch of new features and improvements, not to mention fixed bugs
It has been reported that the Poweramp Music Player app has added a couple of new KitKat features and has also fixed some bugs that have made problems in the past.
Poweramp is a powerful music player for Android, which features gapless play, an unmatched equalization system, great crossfade and support for most popular music file formats out there like mp3, mp4, wma, ogg and more. If you have used a VLC player on your computer, this app is basically the music equivalent.
The latest update for the Poweramp app, which was launched yesterday, adds the ability to scroll through songs even from a locked screen, but only on mobile devices, running on Android’s KitKat 4.4. Google has added this feature to their app store, but this is the first version of Poweramp that takes advantage of this update. It also makes it easy to skip the songs you don’t want to listen to without having to unlock your phone. This is very helpful for music files that have a secret track after a long pause of silence.
The newest update also features some improvements for Samsung users. There had been complaints that the app keeps crashing from time to time, so after this version, it should no longer crash in list view on Samsung devices, which are running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or up.
Other changes to Poweramp include an option for album art and a mobile user agent. More bugs that have to do with switching from vibrate to ring and third-skin-party issues have also been resolved. Their solution for the latter is to default back to the standard skin, should the third-party skin not load in the app.
