Two new affordable tablets by Lenovo – Miix 2 10 and Miix 2 11
Lenovo introduced two new convertible tablets – Miix 2 10 and Miix 2 11
Lenovo has busy time before the big event CES 2014 beginning in less than a day. The company recently unveiled several new smartphones and phablets. Yesterday the company announced its new tablets, including the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, accompanied by the Miix 2 10 and the Miix 2 11.
Let’s begin with the slightly smaller model, Lenovo Miix 2 10. As its name suggests, the slate comes with a 10.1-inches screen with 1080p resolution. It sports a compact body with dimensions 260.9 x 173.2 x 9.2mm. Under the hood of Miix 2 10 is ticking a quad-core CPU Intel Atom paired with 2GB RAM (LP-DDR3). It is provided with up to 128GB built-in memory. The main camera of the device is 5MP rare shooter. On the face panel is set 2MP camera. It is powered by the Windows 8.1 platform. In terms of connectivity the Miix 2 10 supports the popular features, including Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth. It features a mini HDMI ports and micro USB port. The tablet can connect to a keyboard where there are two more USD 2.0 ports. Among the features of the keyboard include a subwoofer. If you are interested in buying the tablet, you will need to wait until March when it will be launched for $499.
Its bigger sibling Lenovo Miix 2 11 is armored with a 11.6-inches screen with a resolution of 1080p. The Mix 2 11 works with Intel Core i5 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM. The storage on board Is 256GB. There is a microSD slot for expansion of the memory. The pair of cameras found in the tablet is the same as its smaller sibling – 5MP camera on the back and 2MP front-facing shooter. The Miix 2 11 features similar connectivity options with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. It is provided with full sized USB 3.0 port. There are also two USB 2.0 ports. The tablet works with detachable keyboard that converts it to a laptop. The 11.6-inches tablet will be released in April for price of $699.
