“Connected Self” new line-up coming in early 2014
Archos is a company that produces different tablets and a few smartphones and gaming devices. The French are now determined to expand its product line-up by developing a whole new range for 2014. Archos has just unveiled its plans for a product line-up called “Connected Self”.
According to the information, Archos is preparing at least one smartwatch, a connected scale and blood pressure device and an activity tracker. At the CES next year, the company is expected to introduce its smartwatch which is believed to be seen on the pictures below.
Based on the image, we can conclude that the future smartwatch from Archos will be e-link type, with a design similar to the Pebble’s watch. The French company says the smartwatch will be fully compatible with iOS and Android, with a price tag starting from $50. New pictures also reveal the Archos’s activity tracker and blood pressure monitor.
The activity tracker device will measure steps and burned calories. It can be synced with an Android or iPhone device. The activity gadget shows the time and tracks weight and body fat. It can be charged via USB – the battery life is up to 7 days. Details for up to 4 users can be kept.
The third new device, the blood pressure monitor will arrive with a detector measuring irregular heartbeats. The device will scan and filter data in the different parts of the day – in morning, day or evening. The blood pressure and heart monitor will keep information for up to 40 measurements.
We expect Archos to deliver more detailed information about its new Connected Self line-up early next year. CES 2014 tradeshow takes place in Las Vegas, Nebraska between 7th and 10th of January.
