The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth – The Desolation of Smaug Expansion Pack for iOS
With The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug finally in theatres, iOS users can also take a journey through Middle-earth on their iPhones.
Join Gandalf, Bilbo, Thorin and other characters in fighting against the Goblin threat that plagues Middle-earth. You have to summon your heroes, train your troops and arm your forces against this evil threat from the lands beyond the Misty Mountains. But you must remember that the rift between the elves and dwarves runs deep.
The game offers a couple of scenarios that you can play all depending on which race you chose to play with.
For example, if you chose Elf and Dwarf Player Factions you can play as either race with unique buildings, troops and quests. You get to meet key characters from the story, appoint some of them to lead your troops like Legolas or Thorin Oakenshield and you can conquer the terrors of Mirkwood and bring peace to Rhovanion.
This new expansion pack offers many new features and improvements in this version of The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth such as:

This app works with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, iPod touch 3rd, 4th & 5th gen, and all iPads. Requires iOS 4.3 or later and its size is 77 MB. The last update, version 9.0.0 for the game came out today.
