LG G Flex poses for the camera on a render photo for Sprint
G Flex for Sprint is presented in a new leak
The launching of LG G Flex in the US is getting closer and closer if we take as a hint the increasing number of leaks and rumors about the smartphone. Soon after the extraordinary model with curved OLED display was released in Korea, LG announced that the phablet will be distributed on more markets around the globe. This news came as a nice surprise for fans of unique and breakthrough devices who were disappointed by the limited edition of the rival of G Flex, the Samsung Galaxy Round. The hint that LG made about the launching of the flagship in the US suggested that at least three of the biggest carriers will release the device – T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint. Just recently the G Flex got its FCC approval, ready to hit the US market but no release dates were unveiled.
Now another leak with the curved smartphone grabs attention. A render picture of LG G Flex purposed for Sprint was shared by @evleaks. The model number of the device is LS995. The depicted phone does not have a tattoo with “Sprint” on it. However the LTE spinner icon of the company is included in the status bar. There is also Sprint network indicator located on the bottom side of the screen. The tipster does not hint any dates for the release of the phone. The most rumored time frame suggests the first weeks of 2014.
A quick reminder of the handset includes a 6-inches OLED screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The famous design of the phone provides a light curve from the top to the bottom. It works with a quad-core processor ticking at 2.2GHz. The chipset powering the smartphone is Snapdragon 800. G Flex arrives with 3500mAh battery inside which is curved as well. There is a 13MP shooter on the back panel (which is self-healing against scratches). G Flex is already up-for-sells in Korea offered by the three main carriers.
