Gionee Pioneer P3, an affordable quad-core smartphone has appeared online
Pioneer P3 has a 4.3 inch screen and a 1.3 GHz processor, priced Rs 7500
Last month we informed you about the 5.5 inch Elife E7 smartphone launched by Gionee in India. Now, another new smartphone has appeared online with specs and price details. Named Gionee Pioneer P3, it is again a quad-core model, but this time we are looking at a mid-range device with a slower processor and smaller screen. The Pioneer P3 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 512 MB of RAM, in comparison to the Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.5 GHz with 3 GB of RAM found in the flagship model.
The other specs found on the Gionee Pioneer P3 include a 4.3 inch screen with a resolution of just 800 x 480 pixels. The internal storage is also not so appealing – 4 GB, expandable via microSD. Up front there’s a VGA camera for video calls, while on the back the phone has a 5 MP camera with LED flash. Pioneer P3 is a dual SIM model (SIM + SIM), powered by a 1700 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes with OTA function, guest mode and Gionee Xender allowing you to share big files.
The Gionee Pioneer P3 includes an FM radio, a 3.5 mm audio jack, 3G, GPS Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Offered in two options – white and black, the new model is priced at Rs 7500 and it’s already available for purchase in India. It is quite unlikely that Gionee will release the P3 in other countries. As you know, there are many Indian smartphone manufacturers that sell their products only on the domestic market.
