The Anonymous hackers involved in the cyber-attack in 2010 have pled guilty

All the thirteen Anonymous have been compromised

The top news hit the media hours ago, announcing that the Anonymous hackers involved in the cyber-attack in 2010 have pled guilty. According to the report, the Department of Justice has announced that thirteen members of the notorious hacker group known as the Anonymous, have plead guilty to their involvement in the PayPal cyber-attack that took place three years ago. The attack was a form of a Distributed Denial of Service and the case has been one of the several legal proceedings this year. One of the defendants also pled guilty to the charges related to another cyber-attack by the group that stroke the website of Santa Cruz County.

The report gives further details, that five amongst the defendants are from California and have admitted their involvement in the Distributed Denial of Service attack against PayPal. The Anonymous group took responsibility for the cyber-attacks that had been facilitated by the use of dangerous software tools designed to damage a computer network and its ability to function. The tools’ purpose was to flood the network with useless commands and information to the point it started denying service s to legitimate users.

All the thirteen Anonymous (who obviously aren’t anonymous anymore) have been compromised in real names and their nicknames:

Mercedes Renee Haefer, born June 21, 1991, a.k.a. “No” and “MMMM,” from Las Vegas

Donald Husband, born Aug. 14, 1981, a.k.a. “Ananon,” from Fairfield, Calif.

Vincent Charles Kershaw, born Feb. 23, 1984, a.k.a. “Trivette,” “Triv” and “Reaper,” from Fort Collins, Colo.

Ethan Miles, born Sept. 1, 1977, from Flagstaff, Ariz.

James C. Murphy, born Nov. 15, 1974, from Baldwin Park, Calif.

Drew Alan Phillips, born April 15, 1985, a.k.a. “Drew010,” from Santa Rosa, Calif.
