BBC official Doctor Who: Legacy RPG game launches for Android users tomorrow
The action RPG will feature our favourite Doctors and their companions
Amazing news for us Whovians are rolling out one after another.
First, there was the 6-minutes mini-prequel The Night of the Doctor, featuring the original Eight Doctor Paul McGann. The Night of the Doctor simply got everyone hype not only because of all the Classic references such as the Sisterhood of Kam from The Brain of Mobidus, but also showed the Eight Doctor regenerating into the forbidden John Hurt version.
Later the whole waiting was absolutely worth it when the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who special titled The Day of the Doctor came out. Not only did we meet the good old Zygons from the classic series and got reunited with David Tennant and Billie Piper, but also we got hysterical when our most beloved Fourth Doctor Tom Baker returned for the episode after so many years. In addition to this, all the 13 Doctors reunited and saved Gallifrey and we had the first glimpse of the next Doctor Peter Capaldi.
All of this points out to the next Doctor Who season to be epic beyond limits. I feel the pain of the fellow Whovians who can’t wait much longer, so in the meantime I have more great news for everyone.
BBC Worldwide, Tiny Rebel Games and Seed Studio just announced that they’re launching a Doctor Who game for Android. Titled Doctor Who: Legacy, the new free mobile game will arrive on Wednesday.
According to the official statement:
The 11th (or is it 12th?) Doctor’s regeneration is approaching fast. With decades of epic adventures to draw from, Doctor Who: Legacy is a loving homage created by loyal Whovians, and is rich in the show’s creative legacy and fun. Combining easy to learn, hard to master mechanics with beloved characters and cunning villains, Doctor Who: Legacy will be a treat for fans, casual players and even the most hard-core gamers alike” says Lee Cummings, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Tiny Rebel Games.
The action RPG will feature our favourite Doctors and their companions as well as classic villains like the Daleks, Cybermen, Vashta Nerada, some Weeping Angels and more.
So get in the Tardis, because on November 27 there will be a lot of running.
