Google Play marks The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere with an endless runner
I just came back from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere so I couldn’t resist surfing around Google Play in order to find something cool related to the film.
Allow me to share that this is probably one of best action-film adaptations based by a book ever made and unlike the first part, this one included every single detail of Suzanne Collins’ original story. I will say nothing more, you just have to watch it for yourselves, especially if you’re a book-worms like myself and you believe that film-adaptations usually ruin a perfect book. Fortunately, Catching Fire is an entirely different case.
Just in time for the Catching Fire release, the film has inspired a game titled The Hunger Games: Panem Run. As the title suggests, the game is a runner. An endless runner around all the districts of Panem so now is the perfect time to explore them before you go and watch the actual film since the game might keep you hype until then. The game is released by Reliance Games and supports most Android devices that run Android 2.3.3 or up. The game is completely free to download and free to play.
Basically, all you have to do is outrunning your friend by connecting the game to your Facebook account. There’ll be a lot of jumping, dodging obstacles and smashing everything on your way in order to get to on top of the leader board. Meanwhile you can send gifts and supplies to friends from your district. You can run endlessly as a member of your districts, explore the other districts (probably 12 of them, because the game marks the second movie which means District 13 might not be included), also you can challenge your friends. Besides all the running, you will also have some arrow shooting at your disposal as a perfect reference to Katniss Everdeen’s character.
The game was obviously made for fun and relaxation and it doesn’t feature much a deep story-mode or cut scenes, but is really well done and it’s a perfect time-killer. So head to Google Play and check it out.
