Android 4.3 is already rolling out to AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 without any serious issues
Two days ago the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S3 got pulled until further notice for the international update as is brought many issues to the UK GT-I9300 and the South Korean SHV-E210K models. It appears that the US version works just fine since AT&T has begun rolling it to its Galaxy S 3 devices.
The update weights 623MB which is rather large, so a proper backup is strongly recommended as well as you’ll need to have a good Internet connection in order to update your AT&T product. The official build number for the Jelly Bean update is I747UCUEMJB and it bring Galaxy Gear support, new TouchWiz features and improved camera in addition to all default Android 4.3 features. Apparently, AT&T version is missing the KNOX functionality, but at least the update is promised to be stable.
The update will be rolling out in the next couple of days for everyone owning an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 and you can check out if it has arrived to your device from the Settings. About phone> Software updates menu. Same as when AT&T released the Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S4, you can still try Kies that supports your device and the app will automatically inform you when your update is available. As some people already received the update, they report slight lags on the start-up and on some apps (Chrome) as well as there’s an issue with Google Hangouts that forces stops when you start the program, but the swipe-to-call appears to work better and it can restart with SwiftKey as a default keyboard. Everyone is pleased with the new interface, settings menu, and the enabled rearrangement for notification toggles. Some people reported, however, that they are experiencing issues with the notifications popping up continuously for the downloaded files and after they clear them, those notifications seem to reappear again. Apart from this, no serious issues have been reported yet.
