Specs, pricing and release date of Nokia Lumia 1520 are now revealed
Nokia’s first ‘phablet’ Lumia 1520 appears to be the best supplied Windows Phone with a quad-core processor and full HD display. The leaks of its specs that quickly spread worldwide today show some very promising facts about the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1520.
With reference to its design, the phone comes in black, red and yellow but these are only the leaked ones so who knows how many other colors will they have ready to leave the storage. The handset dimensions cover 152 x 81 x 8.7mm with a 6-inch display and it will weight 168g with the added wireless charging coil. There’s also a microSD card slot for additional memory in case you want to take advantage of the phone’s big screen and watch movies when you’re on the road, and PureView camera to make videos with the insanely good quality of 1080×1920 pixels Full HD for the promised 6-inch OLED display. Nokia Lumia 1520 will be equipped with PureMotion+ technology for flawless brightness and contrast and fast refresh rates. The quad-core processor that will run Windows Phone 8.1 is Snapdragon 800 operating at 2 GHz with its 2 GB of RAM and it will store 32 GB memory without counting the microSD slot. The battery is 3400 mAh which is as expected from Nokia considering they’re famous for their battery endurance. Furthermore, Nokia Lumia 1520 will support the 4G/LTE networks.
Next on the list with features is the Carl Zeiss lens 20.7 MP PureView camera with improved optical image stabilization and 1.8x lossless zoom in still mode as well as 4x for HD videos. The resolution usage will go 4:3 ratio which means 5 MP images in auto mode. The pixel-binding technology in Lumia 1520 will combine the information of more than three pixels to find the best one and recreate the best possible image in detail.
In addition, Nokia Lumia 1520 features all four HAAC microphones which points Nokia to get at the pinnacle of the smartphones and phablets when it comes to sound recording.

As for the release date, Lumia 1520 is expected to become official at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi on October 22 and its availability is scheduled to be worldwide in the beginning of December, about two weeks after its official release in the second week of November.
