The reason for the delay of the announcement of Nexus 5 might be because of the government shutdown

Google Nexus 5 is almost as rumored device as the HTC One Max. Fortunately in the beginning of the week the HTC One Max officially debuted in the mobile world which put the end of the rumors and speculations and put the beginning of the anticipation for its launching across the world. Yesterday, the 15th of October was one of the rumored dates for the announcement of Google Nexus 5. There were speculations that we could see the new update Android 4.4 KitKat ready for release. However none of those things happened and left many users in wondering when the next generation Google Nexus will arrive on the mobile arena. The speculations about the delay of the unveiling of the phone have begun.

One of the theories suggests that the reason for the delay is the government shutdown in the US. The device cannot get all the regulatory approvals for launching and therefore cannot be announced. Rumors say that the original plans of Google were to unveil its smartwatch along with the LG Nexus 5 but the shutdown made it impossible to obtain the needed approvals for the device. Of course, all of those theories might turn out to be just gossip. Google might have planned to delay the unveiling of the high-end handset for the end of the month around the date for the announcement of Apple’s tablets and Nokia’s new devices.

Meantime, one new juicy gossip made a hint for the arrival of a Google Nexus 4 LTE. It will be a ice addition to the Nexus family for all the fans that want the blazing fast internet working on their Google devices. Another rumor coming from Romania reveals the price of Nexus 5 (16GB) at $399. The costs for the 32GB variant are $449. The same report includes the price of the Nexus 4 LTE 16GB at $299 and the 32GB model for $349.
