Xperia Z1 will skip Android 4.3 and will be updated straight with Android 4.4 KitKat
Android 4.4 KitKat is the newest update of Google’s platform that was announced just weeks ago. The mobile giant released a special video to present users with the update. However the company quickly pulled it down. The reason for this was the started rumors about a mystery device that appeared in the video, alleged to be the LG Nexus 5. Android users are getting more and more impatient and curious to understand details about the update. The first rumors for the existence of Android 4.4 KitKat began soon after the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean was launched. We still know very little about the improvements and the new features that the 4.4 KitKat will bring.
Among the devices that is rumored to run on the new platform is Nexus 5. According to a recent leak, Sony is getting ready to update its flagship Sony Xperia Z1 with the new build of Android. Later on, the company will roll-out Android 4.4 to other devices as well, like Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The updating of Xperia Z1 will begin on 7th of November, according to rumors. Android 4.4 will bring significant improvements, new features, and bug fixes and enriched security capabilities. It is certainly great news that the update will be provided for Sony Xperia Z1.
The innovative camera-based smartphone was announced in the beginning of September during the pre-IFA event in Berlin. The phone comes with 5-ionches screen with 1080p resolution. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. If rumors turn out to be true, Sony will just skip the update Android 4.3 and roll-out the newer version of the platform instead. One of the key features of the handset is its 20.7MP camera on the back. Xperia Z1 works with quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz. The phone has the full package of connectivity features. It works with 3000mAh battery. Sony Xperia Z1 competes against the most innovative smartphones in the mobile world today.
