Juicy leak reveals more about the upcoming Sony Xperia Z1 f
In the end of September we got the first more reliable leak revealing the existence of the Sony Xperia Z1 mini, named Xperia Z1 f. The source of the information was a promo brochure NTT DoCoMo, one of the biggest Japanese carriers. The leaked photos revealed very little about the device just enough to tease the curiosity of users. For all of you who are eager to know more, yesterday a new set of pictures emerged on the web, apparently coming from the same brochure. This time we get a lot more information about the upcoming mini variant of the flagship. Xperia Z1 f will feature similar capabilities to the original. For example, the Z1 f will be powered by quad-core 2.2GHz processor with Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2 GB RAM which is the same combo of CPU and RAM working under the hood of Xperia Z1.
Both devices boast 32GB built-in memory for users. The brochure of NTT DoCoMo reveals that the Xperia Z1 f will provide support for microSD cards. The most obvious difference between the two models smartphones by Sony is in the size of the screens. The mini variants will arrive with 4.3-inches screen with a resolution of 720p while as we know, the Sony Xperia Z1 boasts a 5-inches display with 1080p. The Xperia Z1 f works with more modest battery, only 2400mAh compared to the 3000mAh capacity of the original flagship. Both devices will sport similar design with the characteristic shape and curves of the Xperia line. The mini variant is expected to be slightly ticker than its bigger sibling, perhaps 9.4mm while the flagship is only 8.5mm thick.
This new leak for the Xperia Z1 f reveals that the device will be offered in 4 color options – red, yellow, white and black. It is clear that the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo will launch the smartphone, but Sony has not revealed whether other mobile operators will release it as well. On 10th of October we expect to see the winter lineup for mobile devices of NTT DoCoMo. There is a big chance to see the Xperia Z1 f as part of the upcoming product range in the operator.
