Microsoft revealing plans for Microsoft RT OS
Microsoft is considering the usage of the Microsoft RT OS on a series of phablets. This is what a published report says about Microsoft, which was published on Friday. The information has been disclosed because of a question of someone attending Microsoft’s Financial Analyst Meeting, held on Thursday.
In the case Terry Myerson answered a question about the future of the ARM based platform that is used on the Microsoft Surface RT. The phable niche was never in fact mentioned by its name by the chief of the OS division of Microsoft, in fact. Nonetheless, he praised the battery life on ARM devices and he added that as phones extend into tablets Microsoft will offer ARM tablets in the future.
This comment comes just before Nokia is ready to first meet us with Nokia 1520, the very first Windows Phone phablet class device.
“Windows RT was our first ARM tablet. And as phones extend into tablets, expect us to see many more ARM tablets, Windows ARM tablets in the future.”-Terry Myerson,Executive VP, Microsoft
Thanks to the GDR3 update that will be made available the Lumia will be able to show Windows Phone platform with a 6-inch display, amazing (FHD) screen resolution of 1920×1080, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM making it deal with multi-tasking quite easily and 32 GB of internal storage just to offer you some more space.
A massive 3450mAh battery will be keeping the gerbil spinning on the wheel for a long time. The device is said to be introduced on October 22nd by the Finnish based manufacturer, soon to become part of Microsoft. Speculations call for a November 8th event with a price of $699 off-contract or $299.99 with a signed two-year pact.
We can expect the phablet will be extended if successful and if it will make profit.
