The innovative technologies integrated in the mobile devices are developing so fast, that exceed users’ highest expectations. In a few hours we are about to see the official announcement of Apple iPhone 5S that will boast a fingerprint sensor. PayPal the world’s most significant and reliable system for payments also has something interesting to offer in the field of high-end innovations. The company has just introduced the new gadget for hands-free payments via mobile devices, called Beacon. It has the shape and the size of an ordinary memory stick. In order to work with it, users need to plug in an outlet that will be set in the store or the shop of the retailer.
The Beacon then connects to your phone via Bluetooth LE. It will recognize the certain retailer. Before you can do any payment, the phone will indicate that it is ready to perform the check in and needs your confirmation. When you confirm the transaction, the Beacon will deliver your PayPal payment details to the merchant. This is all you need to do in order to complete the payment. After you are done, you check out via tap on the screen or a verbal command. Then you can plug off the Beacon and you are ready to leave the store.
The innovative gadget of PayPal has the full potential to bring more convenience for customers. It will save time of standing in lines. PayPal is beginning a vast promotional campaign to introduce retailers and developers to the advantages of Beacon. Some of the possibilities that the new gadget will give include paying upfront for services and products that support the mobile payment with Beacon and then just go and collect the just purchased items.
Do you believe that this is the solution for easier and faster payment? The introducing of the biometric technologies will enrich the possibilities for alternative payments and will enhance the security. What are your predictions for the future ways of payment?
