Surface tablets revealed on 23rd this month
September can easily become the month of unveils. After the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 event and the unveiling of ths Sony Xperia Z1 a little before that on the same day, after the IFA conference in Berlin and the coming unveiling of the iPhone 5S on 10th September on 23rd September Microsoft is showing their new Surface tablet and an add says “You are invited”.
According to those that are insiders in the technology industry Microsoft’s Surface 2 will be running on NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip, which is something that was implied by the NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang earlier today.
Other expected improvements may include a change in the resolution of the 10.1 inch screen from 1366 x 768 to 1920 x 1080 or FHD. Those who have seen the device in white say it still carries a black bezel.
However, other things like battery life, weight and dimensions are claimed to remain the same.
When it comes to the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, it is awaited and everybody expects it to have twice the RAM (8GB) as the original variant, and run on Intel’s Haswell Core chip. The chip should help the device run faster and get improved battery life.
The expected tablets will bot have a brand new Surface Cover to choose from. What is more, the Type Cover and the Touch Cover will have a Power Cover which will feature the regular QWERTY style keyboard keys used on the Type Cover. But this cover will feature an embedded battery to help extend the battery life of either Surface tablet.
This is quite a lot to expect from Microsoft and despite the fact that the tablets will be unveiled this month we will probably see the Surface tablets up as early as next month at best. However, this should not discourage anyone.
