Motorola Moto X arrives at U.S. Cellular this week
When Motorola first announced its flagship Motorola Moto X, the company made it clear that the high-end smartphone will be distributed to all major carriers in the US. The news was happily welcomed by mobile users. The only thing we could do is waiting for the longer launching process for the new handset, that according to Motorola could be continue until the end of September. The Moto X has already arrived at AT&T and Verizon.
Now the U.S. Cellular carrier has announced that it is ready to sell the device. The news comes with good news – the Motorola Moto X for U.S. Cellular will be lower than the costs for the phone at the other mobile operators. The official price for the flagship is the standard $199 however the carrier provides the so called “switcher bonus” of $75 for its customers which decreases the costs significantly. Well the deal has a catch though, so before you head to the stores of the carrier, keep in mind that you can take advantage from the rebate if you participate in the Device Protection for the period of 60 days. This program is now offered at slightly higher price – $8.99 added up to your monthly payment.
U.S. Cellular has announced the device available for pre-orders via its website. The stores of the carrier will sell the phone after Friday this week. The next mobile operators that still have not offered the Moto X are T-Mobile and Sprint. The launches are expected to happen within the end of the month. We are eager to know more whether U.S. Cellular will offer the Moto Maker tool for customizing.
The latest expectations for the Motorola Moto X suggest that the price of the smartphone will drop with $100 until the end of the year. So far only U.S. Cellular is offering the phone at lower price thanks to the switcher bonus. We will wait and see.
