ASUS Transformer Book T300, the new Windows 8 running tablet
The new tablet from ASUS is 13.3-inches slate with a resolution of 1920x1080p, dubbed ASUS Transformer Book T300. It is a nice addition to the Transformer Pad line by the manufacturer. There is one big difference between the new Transformer Book T300 and its siblings. The newly released slate runs over Windows 8 OS apart from the rest in the line, working over Android. ASUS has just announced the tablet on the press event prior IFA, Berlin. It sports an elegant design with the possibility to detach the display from the keyboard for a full tablet experience and laptop experience. It boasts the advantages of both, a slate and a laptop. As we mentioned above, the device runs over Windows 8 or perhaps Windows 8 Pro platform. It works with the newest chipset developed by Intel, Haswell. The expectations are for the CPU to power the models i3, i5 and i7. The new tablet will perform well in terms of battery life. ASUS keeps its tradition to release devices with solid battery life and according to the company; it will keep the tablet running for “up to eight hours battery life.” In the revealed specs it is not pointed whether the battery life is 8 hours when the device is attached to the keyboard or if is operating as tablet only.
Transformer Book T300 looks a lot like the original Transformer Pad tablet. The internal memory of the new slate is 8GB. Owners of the device can expand it via microSD card with 64GB, 128GB or up to 256GB. The slate arrives with two cameras. The primary shooter is on the back with capabilities to capture 1080p. The front facing camera records 720p video. Transformer Book T300 has USB ports, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi support. It comes in compact body that weighs 1.1 kilos without the keyboard. ASUS has not revealed the official launch date or the entering price for the tablet just yet.
