Nokia Lumia 928 in red, ready to go through durability tests before it arrives at Verizon
Manufacturers and carriers in the mobile world have a lot of approaches to keep the interest of their customers on new and not so new devices. The addition of new color options are much appreciated by users. Verizon and Nokia have something fresh and attractive to offer to their customers a brand new red shell of Nokia Lumia 928. The first rumors for the existence of the red device came several days ago when WPCentral shared the entry for the NaviFirm databes of Nokia next to the entries for the two current versions of Lumia 928 in black and white. The entry reads “RM-860 VAR VRZ RED (059R227).”
The recent leak of photos comes from the so called “Torture Chamber” of Nokia. This is the lab where the devices go through all kinds of durability tests before they are ready for launch. Of what we can see from the photos, the red Lumia 928 is waiting its turn to survive the “torture” and hit the shelves of Verizon.
The red version of the device is a nice addition to the bright colors of the Lumia line. Nokia Lumia 928 was officially released in May in only two versions – the classic black and white.
It is not certain yet whether Nokia will go all the way with the color and bring fluorescent light to the handset for Verizon. Many fans of Lumia 928 expect more color versions to join the palette. The smartphone boasts a 4.5-inches display with a resolution of 1280x768p. It runs over Windows Phone 8 OS. It works with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5MHz. The key feature of the device is its 8.7MP rear camera with LED and Xenon flash and the capabilities to record 1080p video.
There are still no additional details about the launch date of the red Nokia Lumia 928. It is nice to know it is on its way, don’t you think?
