Customized Motorola Moto X may be delayed due to huge demand
Now with the Motorola Moto X on air and with the amazing new tool for personalization – the Moto Maker a lot of users are happy that they can finally design the look for their phone and how exactly they want it to portray their personality, which is very essential for some people, especially young girls. The plan was that users using the Moto Maker will have their unique personalized design in their hands no longer than four days but as it turns out the Google subsidiary is not doing quite up to scratch they have to delay the whole experience a little. This is unfortunate news for users but is great news for the sales of Motorola Moto X, although such delay may result in drop of demand.
On Friday morning Motorola announced that because of huge demands “initial shipping times may vary.” Motorola also confirmed that it hopes to get the shipping times to four days or less. Another feature that was offered on Motorola also had to be delayed recently – the engraving feature, which offered putting small text on the back of the phone, so it seems they are really having a hard time sustaining all the pressure from demand. For now the special feature is said from Motorola to be “added in the future“.
Motorola also added that the new Motorola Moto X will be available in black and white on the other carriers even on US Cellular “within days“. Later this year we might expect the personalization options on Verizon as well. Here is quote from Motorola on the topic
“We’ll be working hard to get your customized Moto X to you as quickly as possible. We expect that because of high demand, initial shipping times may vary. But we will get that down to 4 days or less as soon as we possibly can. We’ll also be adding digital printing in the future, so you can include a personal message on the back of your Moto X.”
