It feels like we hear something new about the upcoming new device by Apple iPhone 5C almost every day. However it still seems we know only few things about the low-cost version of the flagship Apple iPhone 5. What we have learned from leaks so far is that the company is aiming to expand its positions to the developing markets by introducing mid-range device – something very unusual for Apple. The idea for a cheap iPhone has evoked numerous comments, discussions, speculations and predictions. One thing is certain – the “cheap” device by Apple will certainly not be of cheap quality. All the rumors until now suggest that iPhone 5C will boast pretty similar specs to the main star of Apple of this year – iPhone 5.
Another certain thing about the affordable smartphone is that it will arrive in many different colors with plastic shells designed with the style of Apple. So far we have seen several color versions of iPhone 5C captured on pictures including green, yellow, white and blue. The latest leaked images of the phone depict the low-cost iPhone in red. The bright red definitely fits well the new device. Apple has not confirmed any details about the new device yet. The growing number of leaks definitely suggests that the iPhone 5C is getting ready to make its first appearance real soon. The rumored date for the announcement of the device is sometime in September when we expect to see the iPhone 5S as well.
Recently we have heard the information about the probably price for the new handset coming from China. According to sources, iPhone 5C will be offered at 3000 yuan off contract ($490) which proves another thing about Apple – cheap for Apple is not really cheap. The affordable smartphone will sport the same screen size as the flagship and similar camera module. We don’t know the exact specs of the device yet, but we do know that they will be dressed in a stylish brightly colored plastic shell that will not stay unnoticed.
