Samsung has obtained a patent for its smartwatch SM-V700 with flexible display
Do you like the innovative gadgets that seem like they are taken right from a futuristic movie from the future? Future is here! The biggest manufacturers in the tech world are doing their best efforts to develop the most extraordinary devices that pack abundance of possibilities in unbelievable bodies with sleek designs. The wearable computing devices, like the Google Glass and the new generation wearable smartwatches are gadgets of the future that will become part of our lives sooner than we can imagine.
The recent news on the front of wearable computing devices comes from Samsung. It is not a secret that the Korean company is working on a special modem smartwatch that is expected to be introduced to the audience on 4th of September (together with the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 3). Even though we know about the existence of the device and some information about it, coming from different leaks in the last months, the exact specs and possibilities of the upcoming smartwatch remain a mystery. The latest leak that reveals a bit more about the device comes from the Patent information about SM-V700 (this is the codename of the smartwatch by Samsung). We have seen this codename in an Indian tech website; therefore we are pretty sure that this is the smartwatch by Samsung.
The Korean manufacturer has obtained a patent for the smartwatch with a possible name Samsung Gear which boasts a mic and a speaker, as well as an USB port and buttons for “Back” and “Menu” commands. The Patent information about the wearable device by Samsung includes also a flexible display. Before you get too excited about the new device, we have to remind you that the fact that those features and capabilities are included in the Patent information does not obligatory mean that we will see them in the smartwatch in September. However it does mean that Samsung is working in that direction, so sooner or later, it will succeed to develop a wearable device with a flexible display.
Apple and Samsung with their iWatch and Samsung Gear seem to be ahead with developing the new generation of smartwatches that will exceed our expectations. Who do you think will take the lead?
