Nexus 7 specs and pricing details revealed
Finally, we got the full list of specs of the incoming Nexus 7 tablet. It is in line with what we heard before, but this time the guys from Android Police have managed to get the device and perform a couple of benchmark tests. They also reveal some more details about the tablet.
So, as you know the Nexus 7 comes with a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. With on screen navigation bar, the resolution is 1824 x 1200. The benchmark confirms the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1.5 GHz and the 5 MP main camera. Unlike the rumors suggesting a 4 GB of Ram, the Nexus 7 will have 2 GB. The graphic adapter is Ardeno 320. The operating system it is expected to be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Nexus 7 has undergone several tests through a couple of benchmarking tools. The Quadrant is a tool similar to AnTuTU. Nexus 7 scored 5500 and it is placed above the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, HTC One X and others. The 3DMark graphic benchmarking tool put the device under the extreme mode. During the test, the Nexus 7 using a 1080p action sequence scored 7188, which is more than the Nexus 5 which scored just 6300 points.
In other news, we learned that the tablet will likely be announced tomorrow in California where Google will hold a little event. Some retailers like Best Buy and Office Depot have already got the tablet and you can find online pictures showing the retail package. The 16 GB of Nexus 7 is priced at $229, while the 32 GB is yours for $269. An LTE enabled version of the tablet is expected to arrive later.
