Home Facebook app for Android works on BlackBerry 10.2 OS
Kris is one of the guys on YouTube that always has something interesting to show with the new platforms and devices. Just recently, he posted a video showing how the BlackBerry 10.2 update works (it is leaked built, of course). There are many things that are worth attention about the update of the OS, more precisely, the BlackBerry 10.2.0.663 version. One of the most interesting things is the test showing how different apps purposed for the OS Android 4.2.2 run on the BlackBerry 10 platform. Do you think that the experiment was successful? You should definitely watch the video below.
One of the first apps that Kris tried on Blackberry 10.2 is the Home Facebook. When the app was introduced to Android users it was barely noticed and appreciated. It is interesting to see whether the BlackBerry 10.2 users will have the chance to use it and like it.
The device that Kris uses is BlackBerry Q10 with installed BlakBerry 10.2 update of the OS. The Facebook Home app worked pretty well on the platform. Kris even succeeded to launch side loaded Android apps on the device, including photos, status updates, the homescreen etc. The Facebook Home apps so far could not win the audience. The Facebook Home was not successful, neither was the HTC First that has the dedicated app preinstalled.
The video shows also that the Vine app works on the BlackBerry 10.2, however it crashes the phone a few seconds after a video has been played.
Do you think that the Facebook Home will fit better in the BlackBerry 10.2 platform that it does with the OS Android? Will BlackBerry fans enjoy the possibility to use the dedicated app for Facebook when the Blackberry 10.2 gets officially launched? The native BlackBerry OS provides one of the most popular messaging platforms for users worldwide. Perhaps Home Facebook will fit well with its concept. What is your opinion?
