HTC Butterfly S grabs the attention again. The last time we got impressed by the potential of Butterfly S was when the official benchmarks were announced comparing the CPU performance of the HTC models. The winner was HTC Butterfly S, slightly better than HTC One. Now the news that we just love is the upcoming model of the device with dual-SIM. Even more amazing is the fact that the high-end handset can keep both SIM cards under the hood. And another nice thing in addition for fans of Butterfly S is that the black version of the phone will arrive soon.
The model in black was not part of the first versions of HTC Butterfly S when it was announced. We could see only red, white and silver. Rumors say that the black Butterfly S will be offered by one of the US carriers, Verizon. The high-end handset is DROID-DNA sized, with a 5-inch Super LCD 3 display with a resolution of 1080p. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean over the most recent UI of HTC Sense and abundance of special features. The primary camera that adorns the device is 4 UltraPixel. On the front panel is disposed a 2 MP sensor. HTC Butterfly S works with quad-core CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 with 1.9GHz speed. The new phone works with 2GB of RAM. it sports a nice slim body that measures 144.5×70.5×10.89 mm. The dual version has the same size as the original HTC Butterfly S, which is amazing, because it can work with two SIM cards at the same time.
The official launch date of the dual HTC Butterfly S has not been announced yet. The expectations are for at least several months time until it arrives for carriers. According to rumors it is very possible that the US carriers will offer only the single SIM version of the handset.
