Nokia makes a hint for big upcoming announcements
The big Nokia event from 11th of July revealed the anticipated camera-focused smartphone Nokia Lumia 1020. The announcement of the high-end device was not a surprise; however Nokia made it clear that the company has not finished with the introduction of new devices for 2013. The hint was made by the CEO Stephen Elop during the Q&A session, right after the official presentation of Lumia 1020. What he mentioned to the audience was that Nokia has more to show in the mobile world during “next major launch later this year.” Just when we though that Nokia has fulfilled our expectations for the event, it manages to bring more surprises and to keep the interest of the audience with more rumors and predictions.
What should we expect for the next major event of the company? It is almost certain that Nokia is planning to reveal something more than an update of software. Will another high-end device like Lumia 1020 appear in the mobile world?
The speculations are heating up already. In the last few months we saw some impressive new models smartphones y Nokia, such as Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 925 and Lumia 928. We are very eager to know what operating system will be chosen for the new device or devices. Rumors say that Nokia might continue its commitment to the Windows Phone 8 platform.
Recent leaks revealed more about the ongoing project for the Lumia tablet. Although the work on the tablet is still in a very early phase, it is not impossible for Nokia to decide to launch the device earlier than planned. One thing is certain – Q3 and Q4 of this year are promising to be eventful and exciting in the mobile world and everything shows that some new Nokia devices will be part of the big announcements yet to be made.
