Casio Commando 4G LTE arrives at Verizon soon
The market of special devices, like shock, water and dust protected smartphones is growing rapidly. We have seen many companies and designers to include products like these in their line-ups, because the number of people looking for them is constantly increasing. Verizon has realized that and it is ready to include the new Casio Commando 4G LTE Smarphone in its offering. The successor to the Casio G’ zOne Commando will hit the market nearly two years after the first model launch. Verizon promises to bring the device to the market this year, and according to the leak, the handset will come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich with the Casio UI software on top.
Evleaks provides us a picture of the handset. Visible are the Verizon’s logo, the 4G LTE indicator bar and the date July 3, but there are no details what does the date mean. In addition to these leaks, it comes the information that the Casio Commando 4G LTE has appeared at the FCC, where a very similar picture can be seen. Therefore, we think that the new rugged smartphone is real and we will surely learn more in the coming weeks. At the moment, there is no other information about the “ROCK” LTE device, but we expect from it to bring some significant improvements compared with the old model, despite the fact that visually the device stays pretty close to the G’ zOne Commando look.
In any case, there will be some major changes, first, the LTE support will be included and second, the software and the processor will be up-to-date. The new model will possibly run Android 4.1 or 4.2 Jelly Bean and will have a dual-core Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, all these specs are just speculation, but as soon as we get some more information about the phone we will let you know.
