Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 in new sizes available soon
The Galaxy Tab 3 family is growing. Two new models in addition to the previously announced 7-inch model are arriving soon. Samsung has just unveiled the details about the 8-inch and the 10.1-inch tablets, which will be available on the market in a few days.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is expected to compete with products like Google Nexus 7 and iPad Mini. The display is a 8-inch WXGA TFT HD with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and a pixel density of 189PPI. For an outstanding user experience, the tablet features reading mode technology, ensuring the perfect display illumination and readability during different lightning conditions. Equipped with two cameras – main 5-megapixel on the back and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, the tablet is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 1.5 GB of RAM. The 8-inch model runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and features 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB. Additionally, the new model has an S-Translator, providing an instant translation via text and applications or via the voice recognition technique included.
The 10.1- inch model is equipped with a 1280×800 HD screen and a dual-core 1.6 GHz Intel processor with 1 GB of RAM. The main camera is a 3-megapixel one, while the front facing camera is 1.3 MP. Suitable for everyday family use and video consumption, the tablet has 16/32 GB internal memory, expandable using microSD slot. The tablet supports 1080p video playback and 720p video recording. Equipped with TV-out and Smart remote, the Android 4.2 device is a decent media content unit and can also be used as a gaming device. According to Samsung, both new tablets will start rolling out gradually on the market at the beginning of June, in different versions – 3G, 4G and WiFi.
