WWDC app of Apple reveals more about the new concept for iOS 7
Change is constant in the world of mobile devices and technologies. Rumors and exciting news are emerging every day, from everywhere. This week is just beginning and we already got one of the most exciting discussions about the upcoming new platform of iOS 7. As we shared with you before, the new concept of the software will bring a makeover of the platform where the shadows and the gloss will be tossed out and the UI will arrive with more flat appearance than ever. A recent leak of a photo of early build of iOS 7 emerged on the internet and raised more questions than it gave answers.
Just recently a new app of Apple was released. It is the official WWDC app (Worldwide Developers Conference that will be held in June 2013). The app is interesting, especially for those who are following the WWDC. However, even more interesting about this announcement is the design of the icon for the app. It arrives with a new modern look, compared to the traditional iOS icons, without shadows or gloss. Is this a hint for the new concept for iOS 7?
After the changes in the management of Apple iOS last fall, when the iOS’ chief Scott Forstall left the company, the design of the software is going through some changes, made by the head designer Jony Ive. There are rumors that the reasons for Forstall’s leaving are hidden in several events in the company, one of which is a blunder with the launching of Apple Maps. Fosters is known for its sympathy to the more ornamental designs. According to rumors he often didn’t agreed with Ive’s points of view about the design, as well as for the design language used in the company’s devices.
The WWDC event is coming and we will soon know more about the iOS 7 and its new design. Meantime, we will be on alert for any clues that may reveal us a bit more about the path, chosen for the design of iOS 7. Have a look on the comparison between the icon of the WWDC apps for the previous year and the one from this year and make your own conclusions. We will be happy to hear your opinion.
