Pizza or ice-cream? Android or iOS?
What do you like more pizza or ice-cream? Some people love pizza but really don’t like ice-cream. Others are the opposite, they love ice-cream but can’t stand pizza. There are, of course, people that love both or hate both. If you say that the comparison between both is not correct, you will probably be right, although pizza and ice-cream are both foods.
We can use a similar logic to compare the two leading operating systems in the mobile world – Android and iOS. Which one do you prefer? Both have very strong sides, as well as their weak sides. The most important for users is to have all the information, because they in this way they can make the best decision when buying a device.
Which one is the best operating system? Android and iOS are the leaders; however we should not forget the rest of the competition on the market that also has a lot to offer to the mobile users – Windows Phone and BlackBerry among others. Each operating system is designed to meet the demands and the preferences of users and to satisfy their highest expectations. There are certain specs of the devices that run on different OS that can be compared; however it is difficult to decide which one is better in aspect of User Interface, for example.
If we ask users for their opinions, they will probably give more answers than we can imagine. Everyone likes something specific and different. Many smartphone users are open to try something new. There are also many people that are very loyal to the brands and the OS they like. The launching of Samsung Galaxy S4 and Apple iPhone 5 again flame the debates about which OS has more advantages before the competition.
The competition between the rivals on the market is more intensive than ever. The winners in this battle are We, the smartphone users, just because we all get better and better devices every year (even every month) with monstrous possibilities and breakthrough features.
