Nexus 7 tablet arrives with AUO display
Google I/O 2013 was one of the most interesting and anticipated events in the digit world. There were so many expectations, predictions and speculations about the event, that many of us actually forgot the original idea of the seminar – to focus on the developers. We didn’t see the new Nexus 7 tablet, nor did we see the Motorola X smartphones. The good news is there are a lot of new things to come and announcements to be made by Google. The company waits for the right moment and the right place to introduce its newest achievements in hardware and the innovative mobile devices that come to conquer the digit world.
The most anticipated device is the new generation of Google’s tablet with 7-inch display. We remember how last year the current version of the tablet brought changes for the Android tablets in general and took a bit of the market share of iPad.
Some interesting information came from sources of the supply chain saying that the panel of the new generation tablets of Google and Asus will be made by the company AU Optronics. It is the same company that will make the panel of the coming version of iPad mini as well.
What will the second generation of Nexus 7 be like? We will know for sure after its launch date, perhaps within few weeks. Rumors suggest that it will arrive with a resolution of 1920x1200p and an LTPS screen (low-temperature polysilicon). There are hints that almost one million units will be shipped until the beginning of June.
The tablet will be launched this summer. We expect that Google will organize a big special event to celebrate the launching of the tablet. There are speculations that nearly 8 million units are already ordered to be shipped to assemblers this year.
