Acer announced a new 7.9-inch Iconia A1 tablet
Acer yesterday announced its new device – the Iconia A1 tablet. With its 7.9 – inch IPS display, the Iconia A1 is different than most of the tablets on the market and it will sport 4:3 ratio. The sleek design of Iconia A1 makes it perfect for one-hand use. The Iconia A1 will pack a quad core Media Tech processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The screen resolution is supposedly 1024 x 768 p (if it’s a fact, A1 will be with a lower resolution than Nexus 7). Iconia A1 has also a 5 – megapixel camera, GPS navigation and Bluetooth.
The chipset offers you smooth video playback and perfect and seamless navigation through apps or on the Internet. The games are more realistic with the gyroscope included. You got real vibrations and responses while playing games. The display with its LED ISP technology offers you a 170 degree viewing angle – for perfect colors and brightness while watching videos or pictures. At the same time, Iconia A1 will have a very suitable for browsing and games screen ratio – 4:3, while the graphic resolution lets you enjoy of crisp and clear multimedia content. You also got a plenty of preloaded Google apps like Now, Gmail, Search and more than 700 000 downloadable apps via Google Play Store.
Acer Iconia A1 is just 0.44 inch thin and it weighs only 0.9 pounds. The 5-megapixel camera can capture up to 1080p of video at 30 fps. The file can be easily edited and shared afterwards. Iconia A1 includes also a microHDMI port and a microUSB port. There will be two options on the market – with 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. You can additionally expand the storage up to 32GB using the microSD slot. The price of 16GB version will be $199. You can expect Iconia A1 on the market in June.
