Acer launches Liquid E2 in May for €229
The new Acer mid- ranger gets official. The company has just announced its new Android powered device. Named Liquid E2, it will be the first quad- core smartphone with a dual SIM slot. Compared with Liquid E1, the new device will have a new design, a better camera and more powerful processor. Liquid E2 has a 4.5 inch 960 x 540p qHD display and an eight megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor with a zero shooter delay. That means you won’t experience one of the most common problems in the photography and you can capture exactly what you see. Taking pictures without a delay is especially important in capturing fast moving objects. Acer Liquid E2 has a two megapixel front camera. The processor is a quad- core, clocked at 1.2GHz and the battery has a capacity of 2000 mAh.
Among the other features are GPS, a microSD slot, a FM receiver, Bluetooth and WiFi. The dual SIM slot is optional. If you don’t need it, you can have a device with a standard single SIM slot. Liquid E2 includes also dual front stereo speakers, an accelerometer, light and proximity sensors. The phone supports DTS Sound and features Moodagent, which allows you to create different audio playlist based on your mood. At the moment it is not clear what version of Android it will run, but it is expected to have at least Android Jelly Bean 4.1. As you can see, the Acer Liquid E2 won’t blow your mind, but it is certainly a decent mid- ranger. The device will be released in mid – May in several European countries including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Russia. Available in two colors – black and white, E2 will cost €229 or around $300. We will see soon if Liquid E2 can make any substantial impact on the phone market.
